Who receives our “Baskets for Breasties”?
They are distributed to local hospitals that provide them to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy.
How can you help? We are always accepting monetary donations or even products like Aveeno and Biotene which are critical items chemotherapy patients need and are the most expensive in our baskets.

We delivered 170 baskets to 11 locations across the Chicagoland area - Lutheran General in Park Ridge, Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois Masonic in Chicago, Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Delnor Hospital in St. Charles, Living Well in Geneva, Kishwaukee Hospital in Dekalb, Good Shepherd in Barrington, Advocate Cancer Center in Aurora, Northwestern Medicine Cancer Center in Oakbrook, and Advocate Infusion Center in Crystal Lake.

We added no-sew blankets to our baskets and thanks to Illinois State Univerisity’s sorority, Chi Omega who helped us cut and tie 80 blankets. We can’t express how much we appreciated your help!

We were so excited to expand our delivery to 3 new hospitals.
This is how it started…
SEPTEMBER 13, 2019 – FIRST BASKET DELIVERY
Kelly donated the very first “Baskets for Breasties” to the Caldwell Breast Center At Lutheran General Hospital Advocate Health Care! It gave Kelly so much joy to donate to those going through a similar breast cancer journey.
Diagnosed with breast cancer in March and still undergoing her own treatment journey, Kelly selflessly focused her energy on helping newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.
A month later, she and her family created a GoFundMe page to raise money to start “Baskets for Breasties.” The baskets include a hat, cup, toothbrush, puzzles, journal, mints, hand sanitizer and more. Kelly dropped off twenty baskets filled with goodies to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital’s Caldwell Breast Cancer Center and her wishes were to continue these donations.
