We hold events to raise money to purchase items included in our “Baskets for Breasties”. These baskets are distributed to local hospitals that provide them to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.

June 23, 2024 - Those Guys Car Club Show
We participated in the Those Guys Car Club Show at Tree Guys in Itasca, where we raised over $1,500. All proceeds from this event went directly to supporting our mission. A big thank you to the car club and everyone involved.
June 19, 2024 - Chipotle Fundraiser
We held a successful fundraiser at Chipotle, where we enjoyed an evening with our family and friends. We raised funds to create approximately 16 baskets. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event a success!
May, 2024 - Drink Pink Lemonade Fundraiser
The Zeta Tau Alpha & Chi Omega sororities at Illinois State University hosted a Drink Pink Lemonade Fundraiser raising $175. This event was a fantastic way to support our case while enjoying a fun event on campus. A heartfelt thank you to the sororities and everyone who participated.

October 25, 2022 - 50/50 Raffle at Thomas Jefferson Junior High School
The school collected donation materials for our baskets and held a 50/50 raffle with proceeds being given to the foundation! Thank you Thomas Jefferson Junior High School for your support, you guys are rock stars!

We had an incredible turnout for our annual 5k Walk for Kelly and received lots of donations to replenish basket supplies. Thank you for your support and look forward to seeing you next year.
October 1, 2022 - F45 Elk Grove Village Fundraiser Workout
We partnered with F45 in Elk Grove Village who coordinated a fundraiser workout. Everyone wore pink and got a good workout! Thank you for your support.

We held Kelly’s Birthday Fundraiser at Pollyanna Brewing Company in St. Charles. What an incredible turnout on a rainy day! We had incredible raffle prizes donated by Weber, Abt Electronics, local restaurants and many friends. We can’t thank everyone enough for your donations.

To finish off breast cancer awareness month, close family and friends gathered at Kelly’s bench to walk in her honor. Items for Baskets for Breasties were donated to make a new round of baskets.

The Foundation and family members made 30 blankets and donated them to Phil’s Friends who provide them to those fighting cancer.
August 1, 2021 - Kelly’s Birthday - Bench Dedication / 1st Official Fundraiser
A memorial bench was unveiled at Hamilton Lakes Business Park in Itasca, Kelly’s favorite picnic site and peaceful place to enjoy the fountain.
Family and friends gathered at Pollyanna’s Brewing & Distilling Company in St. Charles to celebrate Kelly’s heavenly birthday.
This is how it started…
SEPTEMBER 13, 2019 – FIRST BASKET DELIVERY
Kelly donated the very first “Baskets for Breasties” to the Caldwell Breast Center At Lutheran General Hospital Advocate Health Care! It gave Kelly so much joy to donate to those going through a similar breast cancer journey.
Diagnosed with breast cancer in March and still undergoing her own treatment journey, Kelly selflessly focused her energy on helping newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.
A month later, she and her family created a GoFundMe page to raise money to start “Baskets for Breasties.” The baskets include a hat, cup, toothbrush, puzzles, journal, mints, hand sanitizer and more. Kelly dropped off twenty baskets filled with goodies to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital’s Caldwell Breast Cancer Center and her wishes were to continue these donations.
